Kara Helta

Owner-Broker

Kara Helta grew up in Burleson, Texas. Graduating Highschool at just 16 years old, she then attended Texas State University from 2003-2007. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Criminal Justice. During her senior year of college, she attained her Real Estate License and began working in Residential Property Management. While managing a Residential Property Management Company she started My New Braunfels Vacation.

In 2016, Kara attained her Texas Broker’s License and began working alongside investors, purchasing and selling investment properties.

Kara resides in Buda, TX with her husband and her four children ranging from 15 years old to 7 years old. Kara’s passion beyond Property Management and Real Estate rests in the simple things; family, traveling, and a good book!

Jedidiah Duer

Reservations Manager

Jedidiah Duer was born and raised in North East Texas. After living in several different cities across the state he chose New Braunfels. The amazing atmosphere and his love of the Hill Country drove his passion for recruiting every family member and friend to come visit!  

Jed and his husband, Josh, operate four of their own short term vacation rentals in the area, which allowed him to gain a wealth of knowledge in the business. In 2020 he started working with My New Braunfels Vacation as a quality inspector and was given the opportunity to join the Reservation’s team. Jed’s most important role is working to ensure guest expectations are not only met but exceeded with care and compassion. In his free time he enjoys thrift shopping, searching for amazing deals, and collecting LEGO! 

Jessica Garza

Reservations Specialist 

Jess is a Houston-area native with a love for hospitality and adventure, which led her to study Hotel & Restaurant Management at the University of Houston. After spending countless years visiting New Braunfels and the Texas Hill Country, her family finally decided to make a permanent move and put down roots in Central Texas in 2021. Today, she’s thrilled to live and work in this picturesque part of Texas that she used to only vacation in.

At MNBV, she enjoys helping our guests create unforgettable experiences and make cherished memories with their family and friends. In her free time, you’ll find her trying new restaurants, hiking or splashing in a river with her husband and 2 daughters.

Mariah Goodnight

Warehouse Manager

Mariah is our Warehouse Manager and handles everything from laundry personnel to cleaning teams and ensures everyone has what they need to complete their responsibilities! You will find her at the warehouse day and night!

  • Mike Abernethy - Mike is a certified HVAC technician, plumber, and handyman rolled into one. If you have a tough project, he’s your guy!
